Patch Notes & Official Update History

The first post-launch update arrived August 4, 2026, titled Update 2026.08.02.13.35, the same day the Supporter Pack DLC published. The timeline below keeps full-game changes separate from demo-era history.

STATUS OFFICIAL INFO UPDATED 2026-08-06 BUILD UPDATE 2026.08.02.13.35

Current status: the first post-launch patch is live, dated Update 2026.08.02.13.35 in the official feed and published August 4, 2026. The developer still has not published a semantic version number for the retail build.

August 4, 2026 — Supporter Pack released

The official feed published the Supporter Pack DLC on the same day as the patch. It contains three toggleable cosmetic sets — Blue Flames, Space Orcs and Space Background — and the announcement calls it strictly optional with no core content attached. See the Supporter Pack explainer.

August 4, 2026 — Update 2026.08.02.13.35

This is the first official patch note for the full game. The complete official changelist:

  • Widened a path in Level 6.1 so orcs no longer get stuck there.
  • Added an upgrade that lets the Laser fire in a straight line without sway.
  • Failed Steam initialization no longer quits the game; the error popup still shows at start. See the updated troubleshooting page.
  • Added an extra settings slider for missile sound volume.
  • Added a bloom-strength slider to the Tech Tree.
  • Fixed the German spelling of "Kostenloser Durchschlag Chance."
  • Made strafing run audio non-positional and slightly louder.
  • Fixed number formatting issues.
  • Fixed "Play Again" being pressable multiple times.

The patch title is the only "version" published

"2026.08.02.13.35" is the developer's update title, not a semantic build number exposed by the store. Strategy pages on this site continue to say "Steam release" unless a specific behavior above changes them.

August 1, 2026 — 100,000 sales milestone

The studio announced 100,000 sales and wrote that they would "soon give you more details about our future plans with the game." That is a teaser, not a roadmap: no content, dates or features were committed in the post.

July 28, 2026 — full game launch

Mumpitz Games announced that Sir, We Have an Orc Problem was available to play and asked players to leave Steam reviews. The announcement does not include a semantic version, build number or list of launch-day balance changes.

June 12, 2026 — demo update 2026.06.12.14.44

This was a demo build, not the current full-game version. The update added Headhunter, Damage Statistics and Power Shot upgrades; expanded the result screen; displayed enemy counts; adjusted per-level orc speed; added upgrade icons and total-value tooltips; changed Flamethrower balance; fixed a pause-menu Strafing Run exploit; added ability stat panels; and included explosion, performance and resize work.

June 5, 2026 — demo update 2026.06.04.12.00

The developer changed the Nuke-ready sound so it only played when Nuke was unlocked, improved level visuals—especially Level 5—updated battle-end button text and changed how surrendering interacted with two Bonus Resources upgrades.

Roadmap status

There is still no formal public roadmap in the official Steam feed as of this check. The August 1 milestone post promises more details about "future plans" soon, and the Supporter Pack shows the studio is willing to ship optional DLC — but no specific content, dates, Workshop support, macOS port or update schedule has been committed.

Do not label the retail game with a demo version

2026.06.12.14.44 is an official demo-update title. Until Mumpitz Games publishes a full-game version, current strategies use “Steam release” with an updated date.
